I have been working with a dear friend, Bob D'Arcy, on his book about his experiences while working directly with Walt Disney to build Disneyland and being the park's first host and tour guide before and after Opening Day, in 1955. He will be 85 years young in just a few days.I suggested recording his book as an audiobook, with himself as narrator. He was very open to the idea. I had narrated a book many years ago for a well-known author, but it received limited distribution. This was before Audible was acquired by Amazon. So, with my limited experience and some semi-professional equipment, I setup a mediocre studio at his home and assisted Bob in narrating his book into a digital format. This book (not Bob's) came at the right time for us to know how best to proceed. Sadly, while reading this book, I was very often distracted by the grammatical errors and misspellings througout. It would have benefited greatly from a proper editor.
